Having wrapped up filming just this past Saturday, the production team is eager to showcase their work at various UK film festivals by the year’s end. Turgoose shared his admiration for the script, calling it “a beautiful little script, very well written,” and he praised the exceptional cast involved in the project. He also mentioned, "I’m a big advocate of anything positive around Grimsby and anything that I can contribute towards it with the film industry."
Harding shared her fascination with familial relationships, stating, "I think there's just so much subtlety to them and so much nuance, that you can get so much drama out of the really mundane parts of life and the mundane relationships that you have. But when you actually look at them, they're not so ordinary, and they're very special."
Interestingly, key scenes were filmed at Harding's grandparents' home in Cleethorpes, specifically chosen because the script was crafted with that location in mind. Among the cast is 13-year-old Theo from Grimsby, portraying one of the lead characters. This marks his debut in the film industry, and he expressed a desire to mirror Turgoose's success, saying, "I’d like to follow in his footsteps if I can. Obviously, he’s worked hard for what he’s achieved, so we’ll have to wait and see."
