A 70-year-old woman's death on the Revenge of the Mummy ride at Universal Orlando has raised questions about safety and transparency. Ma de La Luz Mejia Rosas was enjoying a day at the park with her family when tragedy struck. Her family's lawyer, Ben Crump, is demanding answers and transparency from the park regarding the ride's operations, safety protocols, maintenance, and incident records. The incident occurred on November 25, 2025, and Rosas became unresponsive while riding the high-speed indoor attraction, which can reach speeds up to 45 mph. She was rushed to a nearby hospital but died nearly two weeks later of a ruptured aneurysm without trauma, according to the Orange County Medical Examiner. The family is grieving and seeking a full understanding of what happened before, during, and after the ride. This tragic event follows another incident at Universal's Epic Universe, where Kevin Rodriguez Zavala, 32, became unresponsive on the Stardust Racers roller coaster and died on September 17, 2025, from blunt impact injuries. Crump also represented Zavala's family in a suit against the theme park, highlighting the need for thorough investigations and transparency in ride safety.
